Barbara Murphy

I want to thank my many friends and supporters across Ward 5 for sending me back to the Malden City Council for another two years to continue the tremendous progress we’ve made over my past terms.  I am both grateful for and humbled by your continued support.

As your Ward 5 Councillor, I remain committed to building community, as it is the fabric of our lives that makes Malden a place we are all proud to call home.

I look forward to the upcoming term and ensuring that we remain committed to keeping our financial standing strong, while continuing with important initiatives such as the building of a new city hall and finally re-opening Pleasant Street.  We have much work to do to repair our streets, replace lead lines, prevent over development in our neighborhoods, and to do everything we can as a community to fight the opioid crisis.  I couldn’t be more proud to be elected to serve the residents of Ward 5 and the citizens of Malden.  I know that together we will continue to accomplish great things.
